April 26 - Mark's Ledge

Hello all.

Saturday, April 26 finds the Video Dude aboard a new boat called "Island Magic" heading out to a local reef called "Mark's Ledge" for a couple of nice drift dives with one of my dive buddies, Heather and a group of people from the local spearfishing club. Captain Jim put us on the spot and we all jump in and find a nice easy current with about 60ft or so of visibility.

On both dives combined we saw a Sea Turtle, an 8ft Nurse Shark, lots of Hogfish (made for happy spearfishers!) and a couple of Lobster. The reef is in great shape since hardly anyone goes there and the barrel sponges and coral are very pretty.

The "Island Magic" is a great boat and Captain Jim does an excellent job of finding the dive sites and keeping the divers happy and entertained.

It was yet another reminder of why I live in Paradise!

The Video Dude
