February 18, 2008 - Boynton Beach E-Divers Trip
February 18th finds the Video Dude and his favorite underwater model, Terri, as part of a group of E-divers heading to Boynton Beach, FL to dive aboard "Underwater Explorer" heading out to the "Captain Tony" and "Gulfstream Ledge". The "Captain Tony" is one of my favorite wrecks in this area, especially since there are a couple of Goliath Grouper that live on it and occasionally come out and swim around the cargo hold.
Our E-divers group consisted of Kelly (Reef Photo) and her husband Scott, Rich, Terri and myself. Visibility was around 50ft, temp was around 74 degrees and very little current, and we saw Scorpion fish, Goliath Groupers, and tons of Painted Tunicates.
Dive #2 was on "Gulfstream Ledge" and conditions were pretty much the same as dive #1. Terri and I drifted along slowly enjoying everything we could see - from Anenomes, several Rock Beauty, a Sea Cucumber, Spotted Filefish, Barrel and Tube Sponges, Gorgonians and, of course, the usual cast of Angelfish, Blue Chromis and Grunts.Yet Another Day in Paradise,
The Video Dude
